Note: I created these designs in February, 2008 because at first there was a severe shortage of Obama campaign signs. I let people download the files for 11″ x 17″ versions for free, right through the general election on November 4th.

Once Barack Obama was elected President, the campaign was over, I had done my part, and I have discontinued the free downloads.

These designs were downloaded more than 50,000 times from February to November. Now you can buy 16 in. x 20 in. posters of my two favorites.

Obama “Just words” – poster

Size: 11″ x 17″ – full color press ready

-

New for February 20, 2008 – It is astonishing to me that any American politician would disrespect the power of words. Our revolt against the British monarchy was initiated with a written document, the Declaration of Independence. For more than 200 years our entire system of government has been structured by the words of the U. S. Constitution, and the constitutions of every state. The Rule of Law and basic due process of law requires that the rules be written down in words, and that judges must explain their decisions in words.

Thus, this poster showing the first page of the U. S. Constitution, and a play on words. “Just words,” meaning “words that are just and fair.”

Here are some free downloads of my original designs for a few Barack Obama posters. They can be hung in a window or on a wall, as posters. When printed on thick card stock weight paper or glued to a cardboard backing and nailed to a stick, they can be used as placards or yard signs.

Why 11 x 17 tabloid size?

Tabloid-size color printing is within the capabilities of nearly any commercial color laser printer. This means you can download these PDF files and have them printed at almost any fast print shop, inexpensively.

Burn the PDFs on a CD and take it to your printer.

You can also order on-line and skip the burning to CD part, using Fedx Kinko’s, Office Depot, or Staples, just to name a few.

This way you can have printed copies overnight for $2 – $3 each.

These are free, with no strings attached.

Take these poster designs, print them and sell them at rallies or give them away. If you sell the posters, you can Keep the profit for yourself, give the profit to the Obama campaign, use the profit to print up more posters, pay your bills, or have a party. Use your imagination.

Do what you want to do. My purpose in making these downloads available was to help Barack Obama get elected.  That has been accomplished, and the files are no longer offered.

“Review is a 10-year-old contemporary visual arts magazine based in Kansas City, Missouri; our September print edition focuses on poster artwork and includes an essay by a collector about the explosion of Barack Obama posters from a variety of artists. You are mentioned in the “others of note” ending section, and we wanted to know where we might send a complementary copy of the magazine. This is the best / first place I could find to contact you.
